Somizi’s fiancé, Mohale Motaung, recently bagged a big TV gig and as far as some social media users are concerned, he is unworthy

Mohale, who is an aspiring actor, revealed last week that he will be making his acting debut on MTV Shuga Down South.

Two-time Emmy-nominated Thuso Mbedu and Given Stuurman.also star in the new season.

Somizi, like any proud partner, took to Instagram to celebrate Mohale’s new gig.

“So proud of him right now for going for what he loves unapologetically and bold. His first role. Here’s to a great future as an actor,” the Idols SA judge captioned the snap.

While many left messages of congratulations, some claimed that Mohale only got the role because of his connection with Somizi

“Bull! You got him that job and the rest of us that actually auditioned got sidelined,” one Instagram user commented.

The user added in another post: “It’s sad for the rest of us that aren’t dating powerful people like you huh… You come with serious benefits. Big ups to Mohale.”

Somizi didn’t exactly deny that his star power helped his fiancé get the job.

“Even if that’s the case. Wtf wud u expect me to do. He’s my partner. My fiancé. If him being with me makes things easier for him so be it. I’m not got feel sorry for that. All the luck to u,” he replied.

The Instagram user replied with a “broken heart” emoji. “Wow I guess that’s just how this industry operates.”

Somizi replied: “No love. That’s how life in general operates.”
