Duchess Meghan has come under fire (again!), this time for penning personal messages on bananas as part of food parcels that were distributed to sex workers
The pregnant royal was assisting charity One25, which helps provide items like food, condoms, advice and even blankets to sex workers in the UK.
The duchess was captured penning messages like “You are brave”, “You are strong” and “You are loved” on the fruit.
But Meghan’s somewhat innocent gesture did not go down well with one sex worker, who labelled her idea “stupid”
The unidentified woman told The Sun: “People out here struggle to eat and sleep and she gifts us some words on a piece of fruit.
“She has the means to help us more than that. It’s offensive, you know.”

The incident was also slated by social media users, with one calling it “patronising”, whilst UK TV personality Piers Morgan even labelling it “weird”
“This is one of the weirdest, most ridiculous things I have ever seen a member of the Royal Family do,” Piers tweeted.
Why is Meghan Markle signing bananas for sex workers to ‘empower them’?

Meghan’s fruity idea was inspired by another charity in America where charity workers penned inspirational words on bananas for a school lunch programme for underprivileged kids.
Meghan was heard telling One25 staff; “I saw this project this woman had started somewhere in the States on a school lunch programme.
“On each of the bananas she wrote an affirmation, to make the kids feel really, like, empowered. It was the most incredible idea – this small gesture.”
My guess is the woman who inspired Meghan’s banana messages was Stacey Truman, cafeteria manager at Kingston Elementary School in Virginia Beach, Va. https://t.co/aKZ1fIbzuW

Not exactly the best idea for sex workers, but an A for effort Meghan.
