Nobody knows how to look their best better than an A-list celebrity

Looking good is part of the job for female stars, who are willing to try just about anything to keep their appearance flawless.

Stars like Khanyi Mbau and Mshoza turn to treatments like skin bleaching and nose fillers to get the “perfect” face.

But not everyone is willing to go that far for beauty.

These stars might not go under the knife, but they are not afraid to try some less than conventional skin- and hair beauty regimes.

Unathi’s remedy for stretchmarks

Idols SA judge Unathi believes that she has the remedy to get rid of stretchmarks. The singer has taken to Instagram twice in the past to share her beauty tip with her followers.

According to Unathi, mixing methylated spirits and olive oil will help reduce the appearance of stretchmarks.

“Olive oil, methylated spirit (yes the purple one we ALL grew up with) and aqueous cream are the ingredients I used. I mixed them together and deeply moisturised my skin twice a day. The spirit burns the marks and the olive oil deeply rehydrates the skin with the aqueous cream acting as the base keeping the liquids together. Mix the three together and enjoy watching getting your body back. Patience is key,” she wrote on Instagram.

Mmm, we would like some professional advice before trying out this strange concoction.
