“The Little Things That Make a Big Difference” is an article series outlining weight loss and diet interventions that may seem insignificant, but can make a huge difference to the success of your diet plan.

Vitamin pills

One of the most confusing things in the diet world is that everyone seems to know the ‘truth’ about everything. Except that when you ask 100 leading ‘experts’ about a diet concept, you will get almost 100 different ‘truths’ to sift through!

One of the issues on which no-one can seem to agree is the effectiveness of vitamin pills in the human diet. Many experts say they are a great supplement, many say they are ineffective, and many say they  are a total waste of money and time.

So what’s true here? Can we determine their effectiveness?

Well, from a scientific perspective, studies have been conducted to show that vitamin pills are used by the body wherever there is a lack of certain vitamins, minerals and nutrients. But the bigger question is, is the ‘truth’ really that important here?

You see, vitamin pills are really cheap, and really easy to take. And if I told you that for a small amount of money, and a tiny amount of effort you could have a pretty good chance of making yourself a lot healthier, be more energetic, and aid your body in losing weight you’d do it, right? So why not just take vitamin pills every day, and trust that they work? What have you got to lose?

On a personal note, I’m quite confident that vitamin pills are helpful.

I feel healthier when I take them than when I don’t. Maybe that’s the placebo effect, and maybe it’s a real thing. Either way, I’m winning. And you can too. Take your pills.
