According to a study by the Salk Institute, eating in a 10-hour window and fasting for 14 hours is enough to help restore balance, stave off metabolic diseases and maintain good health.

What’s more, another study by the University of California San Diego School of Medicine found that increasing the length of nightly fasting may reduce the risk of breast cancer.

If you want to try the 10-14-hour intermittent fast, you could eat breakfast at 8 am and your last meal for the day at 6 pm.

Fast weight loss

It may be a bit extreme, but if you want to lose weight fast (pun intended), research has found that the ‘16:8’ fast works well. It means fasting for 16 hours and eating within eight hours.
