What is postnatal depression and does it only affect mothers?

Post-natal depression is classified as a mood disorder. It is associated with childbirth. It is commonly experienced by women but can also affect some dads.

Here are some ways that may help you to combat postnatal depression.

Get some me-time

It is important for new mothers to take some time for themselves, where they can just sit back, relax and breathe. If you are an active person, perhaps engaging in your favourite sport or hobby can provide a good break. Do something you enjoy or even just catch up on some sleep.
