Duchess Meghan made her fashionable debut at the Royal Variety Performance 2018, and so did her bump, aka the latest royal baby
The annual charity gala, which took place on Monday, 19 November at the London Palladium Theatre, is attended by the royal family and other celebrities…
…and this year, Prince Harry had the chance to bring his new bride and future baby along.
Coincidentally, the evening also marked six months since Meghan and Harry’s wedding!
The couple mingled with the likes of musical stars Take That, Rick Astley and George Ezra.
Dressed in a sequinned Safiyaa peplum top and flowing black skirt, Meghan oozed Hollywood glamour on the red carpet
The former actress paired her look with a chic updo, fresh-faced make-up, a sparkly box clutch, and a pair of dazzling diamond earrings made by jewellery designer Birks.
Meghan added a halter strap to the floral top, which is traditionally sold as a bandeau top.

Though her look was praised by many fashion critics, royal insiders, on the other hand, are not impressed
Some claimed that Meghan showed off too much skin, given that baring your shoulders is against royal protocol.
“Meghan is being told she needs to start dressing less like a Hollywood star and more like a royal,” a royal insider told the Mail Online of the look.
Others claimed the look was completely inappropriate and even compared her look to Duchess Kate’s more demure dressing.
Very cheap looking dress – the straps are awful and totally inappropriate for an evening in November. I think they’re secretly buying her outfits of Ebay. https://t.co/NwDqfoDS31

Celebrity stylist Rochelle White told Mail Online FEMAIL: “Meghan’s outfit is a bit more daring than what we usually see. If we compare to what Kate has been seen in, there is more skin on show.’
“Kate has a much more prominent role being married to William and could feel that she needs to be seen in much more elegant, more covered outfits, whereas Meghan can have a more relaxed approached to fashion,” Rochelle said.
It’s not the first time Meghan has been compared with Kate though
Outspoken UK media personality Katie Hopkins received backlash after recently slammed the royal in a scathing Twitter post.
Comparing Meghan to a ‘Budget Princess Di’, Katie posted a picture of the pregnant royal alongside a picture of Duchess Kate in similar outfits.
“Again, no competition. You can’t buy class.
Hi, Katie. If not race, what are you basing this on? Feels racist as hell. But maybe that’s just because it’s racist. I could be wrong. Or you could be racist.
