A good night’s rest is vital for the optimum functioning of our bodies. Good quality sleep gives our body the rest it needs.

How poor sleep can affect weight

According to Healthline.com, studies have shown that ‘poor sleep is one of the single biggest risk factors for obesity’. Statistics reflect that adults who have poor sleep have a 55% greater risk of becoming obese. Similarly, children in the same category will experience an 89% greater risk of obesity.

Make changes

If you find that you are putting on weight due to poor sleep then you should take action and start making some changes to ensure that you are resting sufficiently.
