Nomzamo Mbatha and Maps Maponyane are reportedly no longer together after quietly splitting several months ago, but that doesn’t mean that the former “buddies” no longer care about each other
Maps’s protective side came out this week when a social media user attempted to shade Nomzamo by using the fact that he allegedly cheated on her.
The drama started when the actress took to Twitter to tell her followers what an amazing year 2018 has been for her.
Enter Mr Shady Pants on Twitter who could not resist implying that the year was not as great as Nomzamo would like her fans to believe.
“Heard you got dumped/ cheated on this year,” he replied.

He was referring to reports in May that claimed the couple called it quits after Maps was caught cheating.
A TimesLIVE report confirmed that the lovers had split.
“The cheating rumours are nothing new but Nomzamo got proof that couldn’t be disputed. She’s upset. She didn’t expect this,” a source told the publication at the time.
The couple did not deny or confirm the speculation, but it was clear that they were still on speaking terms.
So it comes as no surprise that Maps came out guns blazing on Twitter to slam the tweep who tried to make Nomzamo feel bad about the alleged cheating
“Heard you just use pictures of your hairline whenever you post throwbacks. Stop trying to find your own self-worth by trying to put other people who are perfectly happy with their own lives, down; especially people you know absolutely NOTHING about. You odious bigot. Blessings,” he wrote.

Nomzamo also replied to the hater in a classy clapback
“I think people are allowed to do what they want to do, we all have freedom of choice. However, it is NEVER an invalidation of who I am and what have to offer in this life. Still winning,” she wrote.
It’s unclear if Nomzamo was referring to the tweep or Maps when she mentioned freedom of choice. She has since deleted the tweet.
Whatever happened between Nomzamo and her “buddy” Maps is clearly water under the bridge because they still have each other’s back.
