It’s global pageant season, and South Africa’s Miss International SA, Reabetswe Rambi Sechoaro, is on her way to Tokyo for the 58th edition of the multi-national pageantry
Rambi has been making a big name for herself in the entertainment industry, and although having Bonang Matheba as a half-sister doesn’t hurt, the model is quickly forging a brand of her own.
She was crowned this year’s Miss International South Africa on the 16th of June after a competitive campaign.
Now she has her sights set on the big prize in Tokyo and is hoping to bring home a historic first-ever Miss International title for South Africa.
The model expressed her excitement on Instagram: “I can’t believe that in less than a day I will be leaving for Japan for Miss International. I can’t wait for the journey ahead!”
Rambi might rate her chances, after all, she has plenty of pageantry experience.
Rambi made it to the top eight of Miss South Africa in 2016, eventually losing out to Ntando Kunene
However, this experience clearly served her well because her big moment eventually arrived in 2018 when she clinched this year’s Miss International SA crown.
At the time, she dedicated her win to everybody who had supported her: “1st of all I’d like to thank God for entrusting me with this title. To the @kingandqueenofsa organization, the judges, my family, friends and everyone who believed in me and who supported me, your kind words and motivation has seen me through it all and without all of you I wouldn’t be in this position! I truly appreciate it (sic).”
We’re certain that her squad will be fully backing her to make history in Japan next month. Judging from the pictures on Instagram, Rambi is already enjoying herself in the Land of the Rising Sun.

We’re looking forward to keeping up with every leg of Rambi’s journey and wish her the best of luck as she represents South Africa at this year’s Miss International Beauty Pageant.
