Are you more likely to kill a houseplant then grow it? Then these hardy indoor plants will be perfect for you…
The humble yucca
There’s a reason the yucca has been a house staple for many years. It’s equally happy indoors and out, has a pleasing tropical look, and is very hard to kill. The only caveat is that it does like bright light to truly thrive.
The ficus, or fiddle leafed fig
If you want to add a touch of warm, intricate detail to the house without worrying about your expensive investment keeling over, then a ficus is right for you. From their plaited stems to their glossy leaves, they are an attractive addition to any home. Keep the soil moist but well-drained, and give the plant some light, and you’re ready to go.
Mother-in-law’s tongue, or Sansevieria
Add life to any space with the textured, tall branches of the Sansevieria. Available in everything from a desktop size to a feature plant, these hardy plants are almost indestructible and clean the air too. It’s a win-win.
What is your favourite houseplant? Is it as easy to care for as these are?
