TPHS Stellenbosch has been providing cutting-edge instruction with sound practical training and knowledge for the past 11 years and in 2018 we are thrilled to add a second campus to our TPHS family in Gauteng.
With the opening of our Rosebank campus in the Keyes Art Mile, even more of tomorrow’s hospitality industry leaders are able to gain the hands-on educational and cultural awareness skills necessary to succeed in a competitive economy.
TPHS is registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training as a private higher educational institution and our qualifications are also accredited by The American Hospitality Academy – International Hotel Management Schools (AHA-IHMS).
The courses offered are specified below and we also offer various enrichment modules:
1. Occupational Chef Certificate
Entry-level chef/cook positions in leading hotels and restaurants. This is a three-year, full-time course and is on offer at both the Stellenbosch and Rosebank campuses (NQF Level 4).
2. Higher Certificate in Hospitality Management
Entry-level positions in the dynamic hospitality industry – or start or your own business. This is a one-year, full-time course and is on offer at both the Stellenbosch and Rosebank campuses (NQF Level 5).
3. Diploma in Event Management
Event specialist who can design and stage dynamic events of any size across a range of disciplines such as sport, business, cultural, entertainment, culinary, and community. This is a three-year, full-time course and is on offer at both the Stellenbosch and Rosebank campuses (NQF Level 6).
4. Advanced Certificate in Hospitality Management
Supervisory and management positions in the hospitality and tourism industries. This is a one-year, full-time course and is on offer at both the Stellenbosch and Rosebank campuses (NQF Level 6).
5. Advanced Certificate in Hospitality Management: Culinary Specialisation
Supervisory and management positions in leading hotels and restaurants. This is a one-year, full-time course and is on offer at the Stellenbosch campus (NQF Level 6).
6. Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Education
This programme offers candidates such as developers, teachers, trainers, and managers who already have a qualification but with limited background in hospitality management or culinary arts and/or consumer studies teaching, as well as those who are already training or teaching in the GET or FET bands, support in the form of part-time, off-campus or distance learning, further education. This is a two-year course and is on offer at the Stellenbosch campus (NQF Level 7).
