Phumzile Sithole just bagged the role of a lifetime! The South African actress is expected to appear on nine episodes of Orange is the New Black
The new season of the popular Netflix series is set to premiere on July 27.
Actress Nomzamo Mbatha took to Twitter to congratulate Phumzile on her new role.
“Phumiiiii !!!! I’m so damn happy for you and so proud dude!!! Wow @phumzilesitole … watching your journey unfold has been so profoundly inspiring !!! KEEP GOING QUEEN! Keep going! #OITNB #SATalent (sic),” Nomzamo tweeted.
Phumzile, who obtained her BA in Theatre and Performance at the University of Cape Town a few years ago, completed her Master of Fine Arts in Theatre at Columbia University in New York.
Scandal! actress Kgomotso Christopher says Phumzile worked hard to make a name for herself in the USA.
“She had her sights set for the US when she graduated in SA a few years ago. Raised money to get a Masters Degree there & went guns blazing…it’s paid off. So happy for her. Deserved (sic),” she tweeted.

Kgomotso told Phumzile her future is looking bright.
