You can eat fats if you want to lose fat

Many people think that you can’t eat fats if you want to lose fat. This however, may not be true.

Remember that not all fats are bad for you and you do not have to completely cut out foods from your diet that contain the healthy fats, even if you are trying to lose weight! According to, ‘several studies have shown that adults who consume high-fat, low-carb diets are less hungry three to four hours after meals and lose more weight over time than people who consume diets high in carbs and low in fat’.

In fact, adding healthy fats to your eating plan may actually support your weight-loss efforts.

Which foods contain healthy fats?

Foods that contain healthy fats include nuts and seeds, olive oil as well as avocados. These foods are great to add to any salad and some can even be eaten as a snack between meals! They may help you to feel satiated and help to reduce your chances of overeating. Furthermore, they are better snacks to consume than sugary, high calorie snacks that offer minimal or no nutrition at all!
