Following on the success of her previous cookbooks, Sharon Glass will launch two new must-haves this week: Simple Stylish Meals and Sweet Endings.

To mark the launch, sheâ??ll be doing a number of cooking demos, which are always hugely popular.

Demos linked to charity

Sharon always links her demos to a charity, and this year chose Reach for a Dream. â??I am always so moved by what they accomplish and manage to do,â? she says. â??They really do make childrenâ??s dreams come true.â?

Sharon will be cooking up a storm on Thursday 26 March, 2009 at the Pick â??n Pay School of Cooking in Cape Town, with both a morning and evening demo, to raise funds for Reach for a Dream.

The two hour demo will include tips from the expert herself as well as recipes to take home. Learn to prepare a delectable meal while supporting a worthy cause â?? there is no downside!

Sharonâ??s popular cookbooks include Simply Delicious, Simply Too Delicious, Absolutely Delicious, Starting from Scratch and Meals in Minutes.

Reach for a Dream, founded in 1988, aims to make the dreams of children with life threatening illnesses, such as leukaemia, muscular dystrophy, cystic fibrosis and HIV/Aids, become a reality. National projects include Camp Sunshine, Queen For a Day, Captain Courage, Tracey Fun Centers and Jabulani Kingdom Hospital entertaining projects.

Every project is aimed at realising a dream for each child involved, whether it is meeting their hero, being a fire fighter for a day, experiencing a family holiday or owning something they never thought possible.

The foundation fulfils on average four individual dreams every day and reaches more than 5000 children per year through group efforts such as weekend outings and camps

Each demonstration accommodates only 65 people, so to avoid disappointment get your tickets now. Tickets are R150 each. Call 011-483-3924 or e-mail
