Skip your way to weight loss
If you do know how to skip and are wanting to drop a few kilograms, why not use this form of physical activity as a way to burn some unwanted calories?
According to Shape magazine, a person can burn a minimum of 200 calories a day, provided that they engage in two 10-minute sessions of skipping daily.
Benefits of skipping
There are quite a few wonderful benefits that skipping has to offer, especially if you are trying to get active and have no idea which exercises can help you to burn some calories.
Firstly, skipping ropes are widely available at most sport shops and an added bonus is that they are relatively cheap too! It is also a relatively safe form of physical activity to engage in, and best of all is that you can do it anywhere, even at home.
In addition, skipping ropes are very convenient to pack and carry thus also making it ideal to take with you when on holiday or a weekend away.
Always stop if you experience any discomfort or pain and remember that the more fit you are, the more comfortable you will feel when exercising. You should also remember to dress in suitable clothing when skipping as this will make you feel more comfortable as well.
