Consider doing some of the following if you are not already doing so, as it can help improve your health in the long term.

Less sun time

The sun provides us with vitamin D but it can become very harsh during certain times of the year and this, amongst other things, can have an effect on our skin. Be sure to always use sun protection, especially when outdoors and take an sunshade and sun hat with you whenever you can.

Consume a healthy diet

See a dietician if you need help in putting together a diet plan of healthy and nutritious foods. Always aim to include foods from all the basic food groups and keep meals as colourful as possible. Remember to bear allergies and food preferences in mind when meeting with a dietician.

Get moving

Stay as active as you possibly can. It is widely recommended that you aim to engage in at least 30 minutes of exercise daily. You do not necessarily have to go to the gym. Exercise could include any form of physical activity such as cleaning the house, dancing or even going for a short run.

Limit alcohol consumption

Always consume alcohol in moderation as it can affect many aspects of your health including your weight and blood sugar levels. In addition, you should never drive when under the influence of alcohol.

Weight management

Maintain a healthy weight by following a healthy eating plan and exercising regularly. Remember that making small changes to your diet as well as exercise routine can make a huge difference to your weight!
