Stock up on: Vegetarian patties

A lot of people hear the word ‘vegetarian’ and they instantly freak out.

They have all sorts of preconceived ideas of what it means to be vegetarian, they think that a life without meat would be impossible, and they avoid anything to do with this way-of-life.

The thing is, humans are not made to eat meat ALL THE TIME.

Added to this, the meat we are eating is often pretty expensive, and filled with chemicals, antibiotics and steroids that are fed to the animals to make them ‘healthy enough to eat’. (I’m not even going to go into the recent listeriosis outbreak in SA.)

We could all do with eating less meat, for our health and weight

One of the easiest ways to eat less meat AND get a quick, healthy meal is to make veggie wraps using pre-cooked, frozen veggie patties. They taste good, are healthy, relatively cheap, and easy to make.

PLUS they LOOK like meat – and taste pretty close to the real thing too! So your brain can deal with the idea easier. Cook one up and stick it in a wrap with a bunch of salad or roasted vegetables and you’ve got yourself a great meal in record time.

Don’t believe me? Put your doubts aside JUST ONCE… try it… you might just like it!
