DJ Bongz’ ‘Gwara Gwara’ dance moves just got even more international love after Diddy shared a video that shows off the popular dance move

This isn’t the first time this year that an American celebrity has paid homage to DJ Bongz’ viral dance move. Towards the end of January this year, Caribbean singer Rihanna performed the Gwara Gwara at this year’s Grammy Awards.

Fast forward a few months and this time it’s hip-hop mogul, Diddy, who is drawing inspiration from the dance. The rapper and musician took to Instagram to share a video of a group of South African students, and he captioned the visual, “MOOD”.

In the short clip, a group of primary school students take turns to show off their own version of the Gwara Gwara as their peers cheer in the background.

While this video would be great on the timeline of a South African user, to see it on someone like Diddy’s page will only help the dance (and DJ Bongz’ name) grow in popularity.

Okay Africa, an American website that focuses on content from around the content, has already started teaching westerners how to do the dance through this YouTube tutorial.

Do you think DJ Bongz will be able to teach more Americans how to do his famous dance?
