Our wardrobes can be some of the worst offenders when it comes to our hoarding
tendencies. It’s time to let go and embrace a new feel to life – starting by sorting out the
mess in your cupboard!

Eliminate feelings

Clothes don’t have feelings. They’re also not lucky charms… They got that job because they
were a great fit, not because of your polka dot shirt!

It’s about you – the real you

Your wardrobe should be about you, your life and where you are… NOW. Not last year, or in
the past, or where you wish you were. If you don’t like it, or it doesn’t fit, it needs to go.
Likewise, don’t worry about what ‘others’ think… no one is actually going to notice that you
‘only’ have six T-shirts. People aren’t that observant.

Plan sensibly

If you live in slacks and a T-shirt, and only pop on a dress for the odd wedding, then you
don’t need six dresses, but your T-shirt game should be one of severe scrutiny.
Make sure your wardrobe reflects the real you, and donate or repurpose everything else.
Remember, the clothes cluttering you up and weighing you down could well make someone
else’s day.
