Stop eating out

Eating amazing food is a wonderful thing, right? Going to a restaurant with friends and having an excellent meal (where you don’t have to wash the dishes afterwards) feels like the best thing to do every day of the week!

But eating out can really wreck your diet…

You see, the chefs at restaurants make food that puts your taste buds into overdrive (so that you want to come back soon) by using rich, sweet, and salty ingredients that are as loaded with calories as they are with flavour.

Your homemade diet meal of a chicken salad and rice cakes might only have 500 calories or so, but theirs – with its fancy dressing, cheeses, bread in place of rice cakes and fried chicken – may come in at triple that. And it’s not just restaurants that are doing this.

Even takeaway SALADS are loaded with unhealthy calories (dressing, fried toppings etc… )

The bottom line is this – if you want to eat healthily and control your calorie intake you need to eat at home as often as possible.

You don’t have to stop eating out completely, just limit your nights out. (Your budget will also thank you!)

This is the only way to KNOW what you are putting into your body, and thus the only way to KNOW that your diet plan will succeed. Treat yourself to a great restaurant once every couple of weeks. The rest of the time be on diet and lose the weight. That’s the goal here anyway, right?
