According to the South African Weather Service, parts of the country will experience severe thunderstorms while others face high fire danger and humid weather…

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the eastern and southern parts of the Northern Cape, the north-western parts of the Eastern Cape, as well as the Cape Winelands and Breede River Valley of the Western Cape.

Severe thunderstorms are expected along the eastern escarpment this afternoon.

Hot and humid weather will result in extremely uncomfortable conditions along the Wild Coast and adjacent interior of the Eastern Cape.
