Drink more water

Increasing your intake of water may be the easiest way to become more hydrated and prevent constipation so be sure to take in an adequate amount daily. Eating foods that hold a high water content will also help to increase your level of hydration. These foods include, watermelon, cucumbers and celery.

Up your fibre intake

Include fibre in your diet as it promotes good bowel movements. Fibre can be found in most fruits and vegetables as well as cereals so consider including some in your daily eating plan.

Get a workout!

Engage in a suitable exercise routine on a regular basis. Remember that exercise offers many health benefits and preventing constipation is just one of them!

Always remember to consult with your doctor before starting any new exercise regime or making intense changes to your current one – especially if you suffer from any medical conditions and for some reason are required not to place your body or yourself under any form of stress or strain.
