Kendall Jenner has opened up about her “debilitating” battle with anxiety
The model is one of the most sought-after names in fashion, having walked the runway for the likes of La Perla, Marc Jacobs and Chanel.
But being in the spotlight has its pitfalls, with Kendall often experiencing panic attacks and episodes of sleep paralysis, which is the temporary inability to move or speak that occurs when waking up or falling asleep.
“I have such debilitating anxiety because of everything going on that I literally wake up in the middle of the night with full-on panic attacks,” she told fellow fashion star Cara Delevingne in an interview for Harper’s Bazaar magazine, adding that political and social issues often weigh on her mind.
“I wish I had the power to send Cupid around the planet, as cheesy as that sounds.”
Kendall grew up on the small screen, having regularly made appearances on her family’s TV show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
She now has over 86 million followers on Instagram, though has admitted that she is still trying to find a happy balance between her personal and public life
“Lately I’ve just tried to stay off it, and I definitely don’t look at comments,” the 22-year-old shared. “I think Instagram is still a fun place for the most part. I like going on and seeing what people are up to, but I mostly follow stupid accounts with pictures of puppies and little baby animals and people saving animals. Forget about Twitter, which is so not fun these days. It just makes me sad.”
Kendall added that when the times comes for her to start a family, she plans on shielding her children from social media and will “put an age limit on it”.
However, the brunette beauty has no plans to settle down anytime soon like her famous half-siblings, including Kim and Khloé Kardashian who are both set to welcome babies in 2018, as is her younger sister Kylie Jenner, according to reports.
“It’s going to be interesting to see what the world is like when I do have kids. But I definitely don’t plan on having them anytime soon,” she smiled.
