A woman was arrested in December after photographs and footage of her pickpocketing went viral on social media…

Zubeida Samodien Abrahams shared photographs of the woman on her Facebook page after her sister’s phone was pickpocketed in the new Checkers, Rylands Village, Athlone in the Western Cape.

“I assume the thieves are from the surrounding areas. This can happen to you, me, our kids, our elders. It is right under our noses and this woman needs to be stopped,” said Abrahams in her original post.

“What is really sickening is that she uses the kid. I hope social services can trace the kid and remove the kid from the woman who drives a red BMW.”
