Pearl Thusi wants to pay off your debt!
Yes, you heard right, in the spirit of giving, the actress has teamed up with the QVDB Foundation to help settle the bills of a deserving South African.
She took to Instagram to share details about her exciting new partnership.
“I get a lot of messages from people who need financial assistance of many different sorts and I think it is really important for people to receive financial assistance. But more than that I think it is really important for people to be empowered in a financial sense, and that means teaching them how to grow their money, save their money or make it work for them,” she said in a video.
“So, in the spirt of giving, and the spirit of love, I have teamed up with the Quinton van der Burgh Foundation, and they want to pay off your debt. Nominate someone else’s story or share your story on their website… and maybe it might just be you we select, and we’ll pay off your debt, and empower you with all the wisdom of financial freedom.”
The foundation’s “act of generosity” initiative aims to help pay the outstanding bills of those who desperately need help
Quinton, who is the president of Generosity Water Global – an organisation that has helped bring clean water to over 700 000 people in developing countries, is on a mission to help people in whatever way he can.
“I have taken it upon myself to go beyond the clean water crisis and assist fellow South Africans with the QVDB Foundation Initiative, #ActofGenerosity. I hope to help as many South Africans as possible with this initiative by lightening their financial burdens out of my own pocket,” he said on the foundation’s website.
