Backed by popular demand, Green Cross has reintroduced the classic cork sandal to its home market.
As part of the roll-out campaign, Green Cross gave attendees at the recent South African Fashion Week W2018 Collections at Sandton City a glimpse of things to come, as the cork sandal took to the runway as part of the De Mil menswear collection by award-winning designer Coenraad de Mol.
Manufacturing classic, quality leather shoes in Cape Town for 42 years, Green Cross is supporting local talent as part of their brand transformation
“The De Mil collection was inspired by our day-to-day lives and working with Green Cross was a perfect fit. Their cork sandals complemented our collection as we share similar ideas around comfort and style,” commented De Mol.
Known for his blurring of gender lines, the sandals added an androgynous look to the De Mil W2018 collection, which included kimono jackets, oversized jumpsuits, flowing pants and middi skirts.
The Green Cross cork sandal comprises an organic cork outsole with adjustable genuine leather uppers
Perfectly paired with socks, trousers, skirts or shorts, the sandals, priced at R799, are an essential addition to your summer wardrobe.
For women, the Eve thong, R659, comes in shimmering rose gold and silver metallic nappa leather.
Available in Green Cross stores nationwide.
