Adè van Heerden is days away from finding out if she will be the next Miss World

The Miss South Africa runner-up is currently in Sanya, China, with 123 women from around the world.

The medical doctor took to Instagram this week to update her followers about her experience in the pageant so far.

She wrapped up her interviews with the pageant’s judges on Monday.

“It is in moments of vulnerability that we open our hearts to connect with those around us. Today I had my interview and I shared my heart with the @missworld judges,” Adè wrote.

What’s her secret weapon to win the judges over? She’s just being herself.

“I stayed true to myself, my country and my continent. South Africa, thank you for taking hands and walking this journey with me,” she added.

The 67th Miss World pageant will take place on Saturday, November 18 – one week before reigning Miss South Africa, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, will represent the country at Miss Universe in Las Vegas

Adè is filling in for Demi-Leigh, who preferred to focus all her attention on the Miss Universe title.

Both women have been declared favourites at their respective pageants.

We are crossing fingers that one of them – if not both – return home with a new crown!
