- How your hair is going to dry is determined by many things – some of which starts at the basin. Ensure that you use the correct shampoo, and that you follow with conditioner. Comb the conditioner through before you rinse it.
- Don’t abuse your hair by towel-drying it too aggressively. Instead wrap it in a towel and leave it for 15 minutes in order for excess water to be absorbed.
- While your hair is damp, apply a finishing product that’s suited to your hair type – whether it’s an oil, lotion, balm, wax, mousse, gel or a combination of more than one of those is up to you.
- Very frizzy or curly hair often dries better if it’s braided or clipped back until it’s three-quarters dry – experiment with these techniques if you haven’t tried them yet.
