Helga was sent to kill Sean’s 007 alter-ego but she was seduced by him instead.

Things didn’t end well for her character as Blofeld – played by Donald Pleasence – opened a trap door which dropped her into a pool full of piranhas as punishment for failing to do away with Bond.

Karin also appeared in Sir Alfred Hitchcock’s movie Topaz in 1969, alongside Frederick Stafford and Dany Robin.

The late star landed her first screen role at 17 in Rosen-Resli. Director Harald Reinl was impressed with her capability, cast her in The Silent Angel, and then married her in 1954.

The pair divorced in 1968 and Karin went on to tie the knot with Günther Schmucker in 1972 but they split up two years later.

Her third and final husband was former Batman stuntman George Robotham, whom Karin married in 1988. They were together until his death in 2007.
