Protect and manage sensitive teeth

Most people often know that they may have sensitive teeth when they experience a sharp pain on having something hot or cold to eat or drink. They may also experience this sensation when using their toothbrush or even having something sweet or sour to eat.

There are several things that you can do to protect and manage sensitive teeth. Here are some of them:

Toothbrush for sensitive teeth

Ensure that you use a toothbrush with soft bristles. Ask your dentist for a recommendation if you are not sure which one to use.

Purchase a toothpaste that is specifically designed for sensitive teeth. It will not only help to offer protection but will also help to repair sensitive areas as well as reduce discomfort of sensitivity.

Brushing your teeth

Avoid over brushing your teeth as this could create greater discomfort. In addition do not brush your teeth aggressively – rather do so gently and carefully.

See your dentist

If you have sensitive teeth, it may be well worth your while to pay your dentist a visit. He will advise you on how to take care of your teeth as well as show you how to brush as well as floss your teeth appropriately.
