Peel-off face masks are lauded for their fantastic effect on your skin. They deep cleanse, detox and whiten your skin too. Reap the benefits and avoid harsh chemicals with this DIY charcoal mask.
What you’ll need to make your charcoal mask
- 2 tablespoons pure activated charcoal
- 1 1/2 tablespoons of gelatine powder
- Enough boiling water to make a paste
- A small bowl and spoon
Making the mask is easy
Add the gelatine to the bowl and stir in the charcoal. Mix well to combine the dry ingredients. Then stir in a three tablespoons of boiling water. If your mixture is too thick, add a little more water. The consistency of the mask should be a paste (like pancake batter).
Apply the mask to your skin, avoiding your hairline and eye area. Leave the mask on for about 20 minutes or until it’s completely dry. Then peel off to reveal cleaner, softer, more beautiful skin. Remember to peel gently to avoid pain.
