To make a pasta dish more appetising and colourful, clean and peel a carrot or two.
Then shave the carrots to make wide ribbons.
Saute in butter and different seasonings like ginger, salt, pepper, garlic, etc. – whatever takes your fancy.
Add to the cooked, drained pasta sprinkle on some parmesan cheese and away you go.
If you have any leftover pasta, don’t add it to the dogs’ dishes.
Put into a non stick pan; add a teaspoon olive oil and two beaten eggs.
Sprinkle with cheese and bake.
Lovely with a green salad and a glass of Merlot!
To stop pasta from boiling over, drop in a lump of butter in the water before you heat it.
It will also help keep your pasta from sticking together (but I am sure you all knew that one!)
