If you are using razor blades to cut things out for some project, don’t rush for a new one each time it gets blunt.
Just rub the edges against the striking part of a match box or book.
You will have a fine, sharp edge again.
The family is complaining that the lock of a certain door is stiff and difficult to open.
Get their keys and rub them along the edges with a soft lead pencil.
Thanks to the graphite, in the lead of the pencil, this should make the lock turn smoothly again.
If that doesn’t work, head for the hardware store and invest in a new lock!
You need a funnel to decant some liquid detergent, glue, paint or whatever and there is not one in sight.
Pour the liquid down a long nail that is pointed into the other container.
It will travel straight in without a single spill.
