Khanyi Mbau has just revealed what skincare product she uses to lighten her complexion

In an Instagram post, she also shared a short guide to using it effectively.

The socialite is almost unrecognisable from the woman she was a few years ago. This tweet demonstrates the transformation clearly:

The Metro FM DJ took to social media to share her skin-lightening product of choice. She also offered a few words of advice to any women who might be interested in using this product. Firstly, it doesn’t work overnight.

If you’ve followed Khanyi Mbau over the years you will know that she lightened her skin gradually before it reached its current shade.

Glutathione is one of the most powerful antioxidants in the healthcare industry, and is widely used as a chemical for ‘whitening’ skin.

The antioxidant comes in many forms and seems to have a wide variety of approved uses including detoxing the body, improving acne and improving liver function.

Khanyi has warned people against dodgy skin products in the past and it looks as if she trusts the glutathione-based products she is currently using.

Earlier this month, the presenter explained that while she does ‘lighten’ her skin, this should not be confused with ‘bleaching’

“There’s this thing where people believe that I bleach my skin. I don’t bleach my skin, I lighten it. There is a difference between lightening and bleaching, and people just don’t get it.

“People who are lightening their skins using gallons and overdose on glutathione tend to have skin like mine. Pinkish, lightish, like an albino colour,” she said.
