Give your child a birthday party they will remember as the greatest party ever and you’ll have as much fun as the kids!

This could be the highlight of your little oneâ??s year so make it an occasion to remember!

  • Try to involve your child as much as possible in the decision making and planning of the party! This is an ideal opportunity for a child to start learning about organising and planning as well as making decisions.

  • Themed parties are always fun! Whether itâ??s a pirateâ??s party or your little one is crazy about pink â?? itâ??s their day so create the party around their interests and likes and dislikes.

  • Enlist the help of family, friends or a party organiser. Most households nowadays have both parents that are working full time. So ask for help from family and friends that are willing and able to assist â?? and/or contact party organisers to get prices on what they can offer you.

  • Try to keep â??napâ?? times in mind when planning a party. Organise the party around the time that your little one is most â??awakeâ?? and alert.

  • Be sure thereâ??s plenty to do! Donâ??t worry â?? this is not as hard as it sounds. Whether itâ??s your good old fashioned musical chairs, pass the parcel or toys that your little one is happy to share for the duration of the party, itâ??s important to keep little ones entertained as much as possible. If your budget allows, (and depending on the age group) a jumping castle, face painter, clown, magician or pony rides are always a big hit!

  • Remember when handing out prizes that there are no â??losers,â?? so always have plenty of consolation prizes.

  • Departing â??thank youâ?? gifts such as theme party packs are always a must! What youâ??d like to put in them is entirely up to you. But some delicious goodies are always recommended. Always have a few extras for siblings that may come along to the party.

  • Remember to take plenty of photographs! If your budget permits, there are many reasonably priced photographers that are available and can take the pressure off you and allow you to completely enjoy your day.

  • And lastly â?? safety is always a number one priority. Make sure there is plenty of adult supervision and that you have a first aid box available for any minor scratches and scrapes. Make sure pools are closely monitored and balloons are kept away from toddlers.
