You’ve Gotta Love Millennials, a parody song by Micah Tyler has gone viral for all the right reasons
The song, set to the tune of the Beatles’ Obladi-Oblada takes a comical look at the millennial generation (aka ‘Generation Y’) and their quirks and frustrations.
Tyler, who himself is of the millennial generation, decided to write the song to try to turn the spotlight on the negative beliefs around the generation, and how to handle them more positively as they “will be president one day!”
He hopes that the song will “encourage people to see past the stereotypes and [recognise] the unique potential that millennials have.”
Tyler is a husband and father of three, and lives in Buna, Texas. He never thought the parody would go viral but is happy that it’s making an impact and resonating with thousands around the world.
Some of the more memorable lines include: “There he sits inside your local coffee shop sporting a man bun and facial hair,” and, “She hopes to change the world while wearing yoga pants…”
