So many of our green tip readers responded to our call for suggestions about bottle banks and orange plastic netting. Here are a few of our favourites:

Bonny emailed us to tell us about the website of the Glass Recycling Company which has a listing of bottle banks in SA.
Inge says: “In Gauteng every Pick-it-up site, where they accept garden refuse and builders rubble, also has a corner to deliver glass, paper, cardboard and all kinds of plastic – they take anything you want to get rid of.”
Kirsten, Adrienna and Gilda lent us their ideas on how to use those orange netting bags. Kirsten said she uses hers to scrub dirty things outside, like buckets. According to Gilda, they work well to scrub out your pets bowls. Adrienna uses them in the bath and says they exfoliate wonderfully. What a novel idea!
We’re so happy that so many of you took the time to send us your tips. For those who want to read the rest, click here to visit the suggestions page.
