Amor Vittone has had one of the most difficult years of her life, and we are only halfway through 2017

The Afrikaans singer’s husband Joost van der Westhuizen died in February after losing his battle with motor neurone disease, she was recently the victim of an attempted hijacking, she broke her ankle in January, and she has been having financial problems.

As if that is not bad enough, Amor could be getting ready to face her brother-in-law in court, in a battle over Joost’s will. All this drama in her life has attracted the attention of some very mean-spirited people.

Amor took to Facebook to share a picture directed at her trolls.

The image’s caption read: “Your assumption, and the truth, dine at totally separate tables.”

Amor added her own message to the post as well.

“I’m a positive person and the “media trolls” as I call them never get under me,” she wrote in Afrikaans.

Amor added that the nasty, and jealous bunch trying to break her will never succeed.

She has had to deal with some harsh words from Internet trolls over the past few months.

Amor has been accused of being “classless” for talking about not being able to pay her bills since Joost’s death, and even her parenting skills have been slammed by people who don’t know her

“Reading up on how Amor now has to pay for all the things Joost used to pay for. Joost did that without complaining so bye,” one Twitter user said.

Another added: “Seriously, Joost is barely dead and now we have to listen to Amor b**ch and moan about money. It is disgusting!”

“She must just shut the f**k up and stop dragging the kids into it all,” a Twitter user said.

Despite the negativity, Amor, who credits her children with keeping her going through the tough times, is holding her head high.

Amor’s post came hours after she shared a touching Father’s Day message dedicated to Joost and her dad

“Happy Father’s Day in heaven daddy. We miss and love you! Thank you for my two greatest blessings Joost, Jordan and Kylie. Lief vir jou,” she said.

Happy Father's day Dadda! You are my rock, my advisor, my best friend and my dad!! Enjoy today…..Thank goodness we had…
