The wife of Finance Minister Malusi Gigaba was roasted on Twitter for comments from everything on her husband’s position to being called a trophy wife

Norma claimed that when her husband was promoted to finance minister, she let him know that “he will be fine and that the Rand will drop and it will go up.”

“I told him I believe in him a lot. He’s such a fast learner and he works hard,” Norma told eNCA.

Norma made sure to let her haters know during her interview that she has her own things going for her and is not just a “trophy wife”.

“People don’t know [that] when Malusi met me I was already working and I was already an IT specialist at the time. That time I was more of a designer, I was designing websites and logos at that time and I was doing a lot in IT business technologies. I was more of a troubleshooting in computers and at my age at that time I had more money because I had my own car, I had my own house in Bryanston.”

“When Malusi saw me he knew like I got my own things. So they think ‘this is our tax money’.

Norma also spoke about the reports of her husband’s alleged affair with Buhle Mkhize, who is a stylist based in New York

“When it [scandal] came I felt so bad‚ more for our parents. He and I are buddies and we understand each other. We had to explain… We were more worried about the people,” Norma explained in the interview.
