If youâ??re itching to redecorate your home but donâ??t have the time to do it, you’ll love these quick décor updates…

Theyâ??re all small changes that can make a huge difference, and the best of all is that each one will take you half-an-hour or less to do.

Rearrange your furniture

One of the easiest ways to change the look of a room, is by moving the furniture around. If youâ??re doing it in your bedroom, move your bed from one wall to under a window. In the lounge you can create two different spaces, one for chatting and one for watching television, provided you have enough seating options.

Add pillows, cushions and throws

These types of accessories are relatively cheap and theyâ??re excellent options if you want to give a room a new look and feel. They can easily be added to your bedroom of course, but also to a lounge. A throw draped over a couch will instantly update its look and itâ??s much cheaper than buying a new one.

Change light fixtures

You can do one of two things there. You could buy new light fixtures for a room or simply swop lamp shades within your home. If you want to create a dramatic effect, replace many lamps in a room with one chandelier or any other striking light fixture.

Rehang art work

If you have a lot of artwork or framed photographs, rearrange them to update the look of a room. If you have a lot of small photographs, hang them close together to create interest on one wall. This is another great way to create an accent wall.

Change your bedding

A new set of bedding will change the look of your bedroom completely. Reversible bedding that has a different design on each side comes in very handy here. You could even just change the sheets or pillowcases for a more subtle effect.

Add plants or flowers

Go to your local supermarket or nursery and get fresh flowers or potted plants to add to your home. Theyâ??ll work in nearly every room in your home, even the bathroom. If you donâ??t want to spend a lot of time nurturing plants, choose succulents. They basically look after themselves!
