I was invited to take part in Prominent Paints’s 50 Shades Darker promotion: using my choice of greys from their Premium Satin Silk range …
My tinted paint arrived a few days later. I chose an almost charcoal grey for a bland beige feature wall in my bedroom that I’ve been keen to cover (my bed linen and throw are grey so this was the perfect choice).
For the bedroom walls I chose a lighter grey – to contrast with the feature wall.
An acrylic with a soft, luxurious satin smooth finish
Prominent’s Satin Silk is great to work with – non-drip, non-staining on hands and fully washable. It spreads and covers really well: one coat was all I needed to cover the boring beige!
And there’s no toxic, overpowering odour – we finished painting at 8pm and were able to sleep in the room three hours later.
Grey is the new ‘it’ colour for interiors
I love the shades of grey on offer – from the palest shade with just a hint of grey, to dramatic charcoals, it’s a colour that will add style and luxury to any room – lounge, bedroom or even bathroom.
And there’s a tinting service available too if you can’t find your perfect shade. For a stockist in your area, go to www.prominentpaints.co.za
