Rebecca spoke to 'Drum' and said that the hospital wouldn’t let her or Lundi’s other friends see the ailing singer before he died ...
Now that most people around the country have come to terms with Lundi’s death, there has been a lot of talk surrounding his last few days
Plenty of reports reveal that many of his closest friends weren’t even allowed to see him in his last days and one of them was Rebecca Malope.
The gospel legend spoke to Drum magazine and revealed that she was banned from seeing Lundi in hospital and tried her best to send her good wishes by telephone.
"I phoned Thobeka and she told me Lundi had chest pains and was asleep. She said she'd get him to call me as soon as he woke up and to this day I am still waiting for her call. I was then told by some of Lundi's close friends I was no longer welcome or allowed to visit him in the hospital and that they too were not allowed.”
According to Drum, the doctors only allowed family members to visit the sickly star, because he had “too many friends”
His former manager, Tshepo Nzimande, was also barred from visiting the gospel singer in hospital. Lundi died on 27 January after losing a battle with stomach TB.
