The Westin’s ON19 Restaurant has done it again! The innovative and fresh-thinking Executive Chef, Anerith Smythe, has joined forces with the exuberant and charismatic F&B Manager, Niall Bruyns, and together they have come up with a brand new, tantalising dining series: 1 Flavour. 1 Cultivar. 1 Venue… which is sure to take our idea of culinary delights to a whole new level.
Having had the pleasure to be a part of the launch, I was in awe of the way one flavour was perfectly paired with one cultivar, and how with each course and pairing, the essence was not lost, yet reinvented each time.
The fascinating textures and flavours chosen to compliment the one ingredient, were done so with much versatility and refinement, as well as the one cultivar wine pairing choices were perfectly selected to enhance all the delicate and natural flavours Anerith infused into her exquisitely presented five courses.
As always, the ambience and service were impeccable. Niall hosts the evening with such flair, giving you keen insight into the unique concept, making the evening as exciting as it sounds.
If you are looking for a night out, with the best views of Cape Town and a fresh way to look at simple ingredients, I would highly recommend joining ON19 for one of their next 1 Flavour. 1 Cultivar. 1 Venue evenings running through until December 2017.
